Sméagol deviates from film appearance in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

Daedalic Entertainment is going to deviate from Sméagol in their new game, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.

This appears from the latest edition of the magazine Edge. The developer doesn’t want to disappoint fans of the unprecedentedly popular Peter Jackson film series, but Gollum may look very different by not basing the look on actor Andy Serkis.

“It is not that we want to make people who have only seen the movies unhappy, but Gollum does not look like Andy Serkis. We basically started with the person he once was and gradually let him evolve. You can see that before the ring corrupted him, Gollum was also just a humanoid “, explains Kai Fiebig, senior producer at Daedalic Entertainment.

Hands-on: Zombie Army 4: Dead War is more extensive than its predecessors

It’s probably not the game that will define 2020, but for gamers with a predilection for bursting zombie bodies, Zombie Army 4: Dead War is called. Developer Rebellion released a compilation bundle in 2015 with the first three parts. Six years later, the same concept is revived. Is the sequel to Zombie Army: The Trilogy still just brainless entertainment?

Zombie Army 4: Dead War consists for a large part of the campaign mode and this comes into its own when played with three other players in online co-op. Traditionally, everyone is armed with a sniper rifle. Zombie Army once started as a spin-off from the Sniper Elite franchise. Simply crushing half-dead forms of life was more than enough to satisfy the needs of players. We are now four parts further and it is high time that some extras were added to the game. Fortunately, Zombie Army 4: Dead War has a number of options.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX gets car mode

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX gets an automatic mode among other things. Nintendo has announced this in a press release.

When players enter this mode with the L button, the pokémon themselves walk around in the dungeon until they hit an enemy. During combat, it is also possible to perform an automatic attack with the A button instead of choosing one of the four attacks.

In addition, players with eight other pokémon can play through a dungeon, instead of the usual three companions. The extra pokémon are located somewhere in the random game world and will join the adventure. Finally, defeated players can be saved by other players, or pokémon from their own rescue team.
