Civil servants, judges and pension recipients in Rhineland-Palatinate are to receive 2.8 percent higher salaries as of December 1 of this year. The Council of Ministers approved a corresponding draft law. In addition, officials in the state on active duty should receive a tax-free Corona special payment of 1,300 euros. The salaries of candidates are to be increased by a flat rate of 50 euros per month, and they are also to receive a special corona payment of 650 euros. The draft law still has to be passed by the state parliament.
