High fines in Greece for going to work without a Covid test

Greece will impose heavy fines on employers and employees who go to work without a coronavirus test.

Twice a week, all workers in the private sector, regardless of their profession, should be tested. As of today, mass inspections are being carried out in private companies as well.

For employers who admitted their employees without a test, the fine is 500 euros per person, and in case of a positive result 1500 euros.

Those who do not want to be tested are not allowed to work from today, according to an order from the Greek Ministry of Health. The tests are free, as for civil servants.

The health status of tourism workers is under strict control of the authorities. Young people have been vaccinated en masse in recent days, leading to the opening of new immunization centers on the islands.

The number of tourists arriving in Greece is increasing every day, according to the tourism ministry. In just three days, international flights to Corfu have tripled.

Increased arrivals of foreign tourists are reported by travel agencies on all islands in the Aegean Sea.

Greece has also opened its ports to cruise ships.

Strict adherence to the protocol on anti-virus measures has increased the number of tourists to our southern neighbor.

The incidence of coronavirus carriers is also falling sharply.
