High demand for first doses of vaccines in young people and adults, as well as the reinforcement of AstraZeneca are evidenced in immunization points of Guayaquil | Community | Guayaquil

This new phase of vaccination increased the expectation in citizens to access immunization, in Guayaquil.

This morning older adults, adults and adolescents together with their parents went to health centers and the five points enabled for vaccination available in the Main Port.

Citizens commented that they did not attend when they were summoned because they were undecided, that they did not know about the issue because they live in remote areas in the countryside, among other factors.

One of the places where there was an influx of people was at the vaccination point at the Modelo Alberto Spencer stadium, on Avenida de las Américas, north of the city. There, several lines were formed outside of that center for the second dose of AstraZeneca, as well as for the first dose of both adults and adolescents.

In health centers there was also great demand from 06:00.

On the Mucho Lote esplanade, the attendees settled in chairs to wait until after 09:00 for the arrival of the doses assigned to that immunization point.

In Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón 115 health centers are enabled for immunization against COVID-19 with doses of CanSino or first dose of AstraZeneca.

In addition, they continue to serve the 25 de Julio terminal of the Metrovía, Faculty of Architecture of the University of Guayaquil, José Joaquín de Olmedo airport, Mucho Lote esplanade, Modelo stadium, Durán Convention Center, Humberto Andrade Solórzano de la cabecera coliseum cantonal of Samborondón. In all these points, second doses of Pfizer, Sinovac and AstraZeneca are also applied, from 08:00 to 16:00, indicated the Ministry of Public Health on social networks. (I)
