Antoine Griezmann has been a reserve three times in Barcelona’s last four matches. The result, the Blaugrana did not win.
Griezmann is gaining very little trust at Barca. He only started one time in the last four Barca matches.
Barcelona got disappointing results when Griezmann was just a substitute. It all ended with one point for Barca, which was a 0-0 draw with Sevilla, 2-2 against Celta Vigo, and 2-2 with Atletico Madrid.
Interestingly, Barca won when Griezmann played a starter in this new normal era, although there was no contribution from goals. Barca bulldoze Mallorca 4-0, silence Leganes 2-0, and win 1-0 over Athletico Bilbao.
Since LaLiga has rolled in again after being stopped due to the corona virus pandemic, Griezmann has only played one full time. It happened when Barca defeated Leganes.
The worst minute of play by the French striker when in Barcelona occurred on Wednesday (1/7/2020). Griezmann started the match in the 89th minute against Atletico Madrid.
It is not yet certain what the reason for Quique Setien to reserve Griezmann. Lately, Griezmann has been confronted with the issue of fighting with Lionel Messi.
During this season Griezmann recorded 14 goals and four assists. The number was obtained from 43 appearances or 3,183 minutes in all competitions. Barca’s 24 matches won when Griezmann started.
