The first part of Joker in 2019 became one of DC’s most successful film adaptations, but for a long time it was questionable whether a sequel would be made. However, a year and a half ago, it was announced that the second part was coming, for which the official trailer has now been released.
Todd Philips, who wrote and directed the first installment, revealed that the movie, which arrives on October 3rd, will be a musical. However, those who don’t like the style don’t have to worry either, because Hildur Guðnadóttir, the Oscar winner responsible for the music of the first part, will arrange the songs taken from the classic musicals of the previous century with a spooky twist.
While Margot Robbie played the Joker’s partner in the DC film universe, in Todd Philips’ film, Joaquin Phoenix asked Lady Gaga to play the role of the crazy lover, Harley Quinn, alongside his Joker.
