Can fetishism be cured?

Fetishism not necessarily a mental disorder as long as it does not cause distress and does not cause dysfunction.

To meet the criteria for mental disorders, a person with fetishism must experience significant distress and dysfunction such as feeling disturbed or suffering with his condition.

“When it becomes a disorder, the diagnosis becomes a fetihistic disorder,” Alvina said.

According to Alvina, fetihistic disorders can be treated with various modalities of psychotherapy both individually and in groups.

In addition to psychotherapy, a psychiatrist can also provide drug and hormone therapy to help cure fetishism sufferers.

Because fetishism can be formed since childhood and puberty, to avoid it, Alvina urges people to create a child-friendly environment.

It also cares for the health of children both physically and mentally and is protective of children from exposure to violence.

“Both physical, mental and sexual violence,” he concluded.

Long story short, the perpetrators and victims get acquainted through social media. Gilang then asked the victim to help her in the scientific research project she was doing.

Gilang forces the interlocutor to wrap his entire body in a rag. But before that, the victim’s body must be wrapped around using tape, starting from the feet, hands, eyes, and mouth.
