This year’s Met Gala a Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, vagyis a “Sleeping Beauty: Fashion Resurgence” celebrated its exhibition titled, and the official dress code is The Garden of Time, that is “The Garden of Time” was what JG Ballard’s 1962 The Garden of Time inspired by his short story.
The story is about a count and a countess who live in a utopia of leisure, art and beauty. The couple’s home is a villa whose terrace overlooks a garden of crystal flowers (translucent leaves, glistening glass-like stems). So the dress code brought nature-embracing fashion to life.
