A simple game of petanque almost turned into a tragedy in Pérols in the Hérault. Following a disagreement, a 26-year-old man came back armed with a gun to threaten a player.
The bowler attacked his opponent by threatening him with a gun, after an argument during a game. He left the field to return a few minutes later with a gun and threaten a 32-year-old man. Witnesses intervened and the aggressor turned around.
Police apprehended the troublemaker at his home. The latter admitted the facts and showed his weapon, which he had also declared stolen, a few years ago.
The bowler was taken into custody, but the victim did not want to file a complaint.
