Cavill has now spoken out for the first time and confirmed his injury during filming. He also specified that he had injured his back thigh muscles. At the same time, the Briton declares that he would like to comment on this later. So apparently a detailed story of how the accident came about awaits us. It may contain spoilers for the new episodes, which is why Cavill won’t go into the exact circumstances until later.
In the meantime, however, the actor is probably up and was even able to jog for the first time, even if, according to Cavill, it was not very fast and not long. For the “The Witcher” star, the run was the first and most important step to get back into the rhythm after spending the holidays with a few cups of mulled wine and a big turkey.
What about season 2 of “The Witcher”?
Due to the corona virus, the shooting of the second season of “The Witcher” had to be interrupted several times. Cavill’s injury was another major setback, but production could continue without the actor by shooting other scenes. The first season already had several storylines that focused on other characters such as Yennefer. Not so long ago we received pictures that showed us the powerful sorceress with important characters from the “The Witcher” universe.
When season 2 will finally appear on Netflix remains a big mystery. Probably mid / late 2021 could be a suitable period, but the situation with Henry Cavill’s injury needs to be reassessed. Furthermore, there is a risk that the coronavirus can cause delays again. In other words, we must ultimately be patient until hopefully positive news reaches us.
