Former Head of the Internal Security Bureau for the Professional and Security Division (With Paminal Propam) Police, Hendra Kurniawanstill wondering why he was put in a special place (patsus) because he violated ethics in case handling the death of Brigadier Joshua. Hendra questioned the evidence of the National Police Special Team (Timsus).
Initially, Hendra admitted being questioned by Agus Sariful as a member of the National Police’s Special (Special) Squad regarding the death of Brigadier Yosua. During the examination, Hendra revealed several questions, most notably regarding the delivery of Yosua’s body to Jambi.
“When he was in the Timsus, he happened to ask me: ‘Yes, to Jambi’, ‘Whose orders are these?’ ‘FS’,” Hendra said in imitation of a conversation with Agus during a hearing at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (1/12/2022).
Agus is known to have been presented as a witness at the trial in the case that ensnared Hendra.
Returning to Hendra, he admitted that he had been asked by Agus about securing the CCTV cameras at the Duren Tiga police compound. At that time, Hendra agreed and said yes selection.
“Then really secure the video surveillance?” ‘Exactly’ ‘How does it look to you?’ ‘Screening’ ‘What is screening?’ ‘Detect, select,'” Hendra said.
Hendra said all responses at the time were just written on paper and then signed. Hendra admitted being examined on Aug. 8.
“‘It wasn’t reported back to FS, that’s all and it was just written on paper, there were no minutes, I wrote another signature,” said Hendra.
It was here, Hendra admitted feeling confused. Because, after being examined, he was immediately placed in a special place (patsus). Hendra also questioned Timsus’ evidence at the time.
“So when I was examined, it was already August 8. I was immediately examined and I was Patsus. So I’m confused as to what evidence I have about Patsus?” said Hendra.
Hendra and Agus Nurpatria were charged with tampering with CCTV cameras
Kombes Agus Nurpatria Adi Purnama and Hendra Kurniawan were accused of damaging CCTV which hampered the investigation into Yosua Hutabarat’s murder. The deed was performed by Agus and Hendra along with four other people.
“The defendant intentionally and without rights or illegally took any action which resulted in the electronic system being disrupted and/or the electronic system not working as it should,” the prosecutor said while reading the indictment in the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel), Wednesday (10/19).
The other four defendants in question are Kompol Chuck Putranto, Kompol Baiquni Wibowo, AKP Irfan Widyanto and AKBP Arif Rachman Arifin. They were charged in separate files.
Agus and Hendra were charged under Article 49 junco Article 33 and Article 48 junco Article 32 paragraph (1) Law n. 19 of 2016 amending the law n. 11 of 2008 concerning information and electronic transactions (UU ITE) junco Article 55 paragraph 1 1st penal code and article 233 penal code and article 221 paragraph 1 2nd junco Art. 55 paragraph 1 1 Criminal Code
