Neumarkt.The cinemas in the district of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate have already received state start-up aid totaling 113,000 euros, according to the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital. The digital minister responsible for the film and cinema industry, Judith Gerlach, emphasized: “The Bavarian film and cinema industry is an important branch of the economy and a central part of the Bavarian cultural scene. That is why we support the cinemas to help them through the crisis. ”It is important, however, that the federal government finally get its promised aid on the way. In May 2020, the Bavarian state government decided to start up the cinema in the amount of 12 million euros; at the end of October, the program was extended to June 30, 2021 and increased by a further 12 million euros.
