Hamburger SV must spend at least another season in the 2nd German soccer league. The Hanseatic team received a 1: 5 home debacle against Sandhausen in the last round on Sunday and thus could not make any capital out of the shooting aid from Bielefeld. The armines, already established as promoters, beat Heidenheim 3-0.
Nevertheless, Heidenheim remained one point ahead of HSV third and now faces Werder Bremen in the relegation. The relegated teams are Dynamo Dresden and Wehen Wiesbaden (5-3 against St. Pauli without Heinz Lindner, who was injured on the hand). After a 1-1 draw at Holstein Kiel, 1. FC Nürnberg has to be relegated against a relapse to the 3rd league. Karlsruhe with defender Christoph Kobald and striker Marco Djuricin (until 71.) saved themselves with a 2-1 in Fürth.
Nikola Dovedan was with the Nuremberg team until the final whistle, Georg Margreitter sat on the bench. At HSV, Martin Harnik was exchanged for Sandhausen for a break, Lukas Hinterseer was only a substitute. Martin Fraisl was in the goal with the winners. Bielefeld won with Manuel Prietl, the Heidenheimer with Konstantin Kerschbaumer up to the 46th minute were able to cope with the defeat.
VfB Stuttgart, ranked second in the table, lost 1: 3 in their own stadium against Darmstadt (Matthias Honsak from 73.). Sasa Kalajdzic came in the 84th minute instead of VfB goal scorer Mario Gomez. For the ex-DFB goalkeeper it was the last match in the Stuttgart jersey.
In the last round, Philipp Zulechner was the only Austrian to join the rifle list. The former Austria and Sturm Graz attacker scored the 2-1 win for Aue against Regensburg.
