In the night from Friday to Saturday, De Wegwijzer Municipal School in Rijkevorsel received unwanted visitors. “The entire school was turned upside down. Furniture and ICT equipment were destroyed as well as various fire extinguishers and paint tubes were sprayed empty”, can be read on the Facebook page of the Noorderkempen police zone. The perpetrators fled when the fire alarm went off at 4:30 am.
The police are now looking for the perpetrators and possible witnesses. In the meantime, the school has already been cleaned for the first time. “A team from the municipality has already started cleaning on Sunday morning, but there will still be work tomorrow,” says Alderman for Education Nathalie Stoffelen. “Among other things, a cherry picker must be involved.” According to the ships, it is also purely about vandalism. “It seems at first that nothing has been stolen.”
