Heat pump heating. “20-30 percent cheaper than gas”

Heat pumps are gaining great popularity in Poland. The use of this ecological technology for heating a building is associated not only with concern for the environment, but also with the desire to save on heating.

Poles buy a record lot heat pumps. This market is developing in our country fastest in Europe. In the coming years, the share of this type of equipment among the purchased heating sources may additionally increase, which, while taking care of green energy, should have a positive impact on the air condition in Poland.

Journalists of the gramwzielone.pl website talked about heat pumps with Paweł Lachman, president of the Polish Organization for the Development of Heat Pump Technology (PORT PC). The interview provided positive information for representatives of the heat pump industry. It is good, and it could get even better in the coming years.

Lachman notes that the increase in sales of heat pumps in Poland has been recorded for 11 years. The Clean Air program plays an important role in popularizing these devices, as it allows for obtaining subsidies for the purchase of ecological heat sources. Another incentive to invest in heat pumps is the Moje Ciepło program, which not only popularizes these devices, but also encourages to improve the energy standard of buildings.

Heat pump – heating cheaper than gas

Paweł Lachman says directly that investing in a heat pump is profitable. In his opinion, it allows you to save a lot of money compared to gas heating. When asked what influences the pace of gaining popularity of heat pumps, he indicated two reasons. It is about cost as well as public awareness

– Of course, very favorable prices in terms of heating costs for existing buildings, which are at the level of the G12w tariff 20-30 percent smaller than in the case of gas heating. It is much more in new buildings. In addition, heat pumps have become an acceptable, understandable technology, in which confidence has increased – comments the president of PORT PC.

Currently heat pump constitute 20 percent heating devices sold on the Polish market. Paweł Lechman claims that within a few years it is possible to achieve the level of 50%. It is influenced by popularity photovoltaics. As the president of PORT PC says – nearly 16 percent. users photovoltaic installations was thinking of buying a heat pump.

However, it should be noted that currently prosumers may hold back a bit in investing in heat pump. This is influenced by the system net-billnguwhich makes it difficult to estimate the operating costs of this type of device.
