Health: Supplying China with 10 tons of medical supplies and a 24-hour crisis room

Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, announced the formation and convening of a 24-hour crisis management room that includes representatives from all ministries and relevant authorities, at the ministry’s general office, to follow up on the plan to receive Egyptian citizens coming from Wuhan, China, in implementation of the political leadership’s directions to take the necessary measures to return Desire from Egyptians residing in the Chinese city of Wuhan after the outbreak of the newly created corona virus.

This came during the presidency of the Minister of Health and Population, yesterday, an expanded meeting with ministry leaders, representatives of ministries and relevant authorities and representatives of the security authorities, to discuss the implementation of the medical insurance plan to receive Egyptian citizens coming from the State of China.

Dr. Khaled Mujahid, adviser to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesman of the ministry, said that the minister confirmed that a quarantine is currently being prepared to accommodate the Egyptian citizens returning from the Chinese city of “Wuhan”, and all those dealing with them, while taking the necessary logistical measures to provide means of subsistence and residence for a period of 14 days. It is the “incubation period”.

He pointed out that the quarantine will be provided with all medical devices and supplies, specialized medical crews, administrative and service crews, in addition to blood factories, viruses, chemistry and clinics in various medical specialties, in order to meet all medical arrivals needs, and to treat those suffering any chronic diseases.

He added that the minister pointed out that there is coordination at the highest level with the relevant ministries and state agencies, to implement the medical insurance plan for Egyptian citizens coming from China, where periodic follow-up is carried out around the clock, and take preventive, preventive and remedial measures for them.

He said that the meeting dealt with a plan to secure arrivals, medical staff and all those dealing with them, as medical staff will be provided on board the plane that will carry the Egyptians from China, where the crew includes three doctors, “two quarantine doctors and another to combat infection”, and three from nursing, in addition to taking strict preventive measures In the means of transporting arrivals to quarantine places, the waste will also be handled according to the WHO guidelines, indicating that all preventive and precautionary measures have been reviewed with the World Health Organization.

Within the framework of enhancing ways of cooperation between Egypt and China to confront the emerging corona virus, Dr. Hala Zayed revealed the supply of the state of China with a shipment of 10 tons of preventive medical supplies, stressing that the Egyptian state will provide all means of support to the Chinese in Egypt to benefit from the medical services provided in government hospitals similar to Egyptians, especially during that period, noting the depth and interdependence of relations between the two countries.
