The Ministry of Health and Population revealed the health controls that should be in place in educational facilities to protect students from contracting any infectious diseases, in the interest of the health and safety of students with the beginning of the new academic year.

The Ministry of Health and Population said that care must be taken to cleanliness, social distancing, and to follow all methods of early detection of the disease, stressing the need to continue to adhere to preventive and precautionary measures, within educational facilities.

Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, stressed the need to adhere to preventive and precautionary measures and follow social distancing measures in anticipation of the increase in the number of new Coronavirus (Covid-19) infections, especially after the increase in gatherings during Eid Al-Adha.

The Ministry directed a number of advice that citizens should follow during the current period of anticipation and caution to limit the spread of the new Corona virus by avoiding family gatherings and maintaining social distancing between individuals in public places, provided that the spacing distance is not less than 1 meter, and the obligation to wear the muzzle while following Instructions on how to wear it and safely dispose of it.

He pointed out that, in order to ensure that the infection does not spread, the handshake should not be shaken during the meeting, especially in closed places, with the need to wash hands with soap and water continuously for a period of at least 20 seconds or rub them with alcohol, and the gathering of large numbers of citizens in public places must also be prevented. Such as markets, shops, etc., stressing the necessity not to share personal tools with others, and to avoid touching unclean surfaces.

The Ministry urged individuals aged 60 years or more or anyone suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic lung disease, cerebrovascular disease and chronic kidney disease, and pregnant women, to avoid gatherings as they are most vulnerable to infection. Infectious diseases, and go to the nearest hospital if you feel any symptoms.

And she continued that, in the interest of the public health of citizens, one should not take medicines, especially vitamin drugs or medicines that raise immunity without consulting a doctor, and also care must be taken to follow a healthy diet, which strengthens the immune system, such as eating healthy foods rich in natural vitamins and zinc, and taking care to eat fruits and vegetables. And fish as an important source of omega-3.

And the need to avoid eating processed meat and fast food, pointing to the importance of making sure to drink 8-10 cups of water a day to maintain body moisture, in addition to the importance of consuming juices rich in vitamin C to strengthen immunity, and pay attention to exercising constantly to raise the body’s immunity.
