The Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance reported this Thursday, September 30, that the coronavirus vaccination registry has been enabled for people over 12 years old.
In the institution’s social networks, it is reported that the website vaccina.gob.gt has been enabled for the registration of preadolescents, so that they receive the vaccine against the disease in the coming days.

Currently, the authorities are developing phase 4 of the National Vaccination Plan, which provides for the immunization of people over 18 years of age.
At the beginning of the week, it became known that the Guatemalan Social Security Institute (IGSS) had vaccinated several children, claiming they had comorbidities, since the Ministry of Health had not yet authorized immunization in that age group.
Social Security indicated that it was a small group of young people who came voluntarily accompanied by their parents and suffered from heart disease and chronic diseases.
It was also known that Health Areas in Huehuetenango and Quiché had begun with vaccination in those older than 12 years, because they had exceeded up to 90% of the coverage in those older than 18 years.
Authorities from the Ministry of Health indicated that they were already working on the protocols to enable the vaccination of this group throughout the country.
Another group that began to receive the vaccine was pregnant girls and adolescents, whose data appeared in the Ministry of Health system.
Registration process for people over 12 years old
- 1. Enter the site vacuna.gob.gt and at the bottom is the area to register minors from 12 to 17 years old. You have to enter by clicking on Register Here.
- 2. Ask to enter the CUI of the minor and click on the space where it says I am not a robot
- 3. If the CUI is valid, it will display a screen where the minor’s personal data appears.
- 4. Complete the form with the education, if you are pregnant or not, town to which you belong, linguistic community, cell phone, if you have a disability or chronic illness.
- 5. You have to select the preferred place for vaccination.
- 6. Then request the CUI of the person in charge. It is entered and it is looked for in the magnifying glass that is to the right so that the format is autocompleted.
- 7. The type of person in charge must be filled out (father, mother etc.)
- 8. Launch a screen where it informs that the CUI was registered
