The Stuttgart health department recommends daily testing of daycare children in the coming week. “Before visiting the daycare center again after the Christmas break, all children should be tested – either with the test kits that are still in stock at home or at one of the many test stations throughout the city,” says the head of the Stuttgart health department, Stefan Ehehalt. The mayor for youth and education, Isabel Fezer, added that they wanted to offer security through additional tests. With the recommendation, Stuttgart is expanding the obligation to test in day-care centers. From January 10th, the state ordinance provides for a test verification requirement for all daycare children – three times a week via a rapid test or twice via a PCR test.
