Health calls for those over 60 in Tenerife and Gran Canaria to get vaccinated this weekend | BE Las Palmas

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands summons residents of Tenerife and Gran Canaria over 60 years of age to come this weekend to get vaccinated against the coronavirus no need to make an appointment. They can do it between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and presenting only the health card and DNI.

Specifically, the call for this vaccination campaign in Tenerife will be at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Fairgrounds and at the Magma Arte & Congresos in Adeje. In Gran Canaria, Infecar has been arranged, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and ExpoMeloneras, in Maspalomas.

The objective of the initiative is to complete the vaccine inoculation process among the target population over 60 years of age, which is already more than 80% vaccinated in first doses, and vaccinate the most vulnerable groups as soon as possible, as stated the Vaccination Strategy against COVID-19.

This appeal, which also includes the mutualists of Muface, Mugeju and Isfas, It is carried out to facilitate vaccination to those people who for work reasons or due to some type of incident with their appointment have not been able to get vaccinated at the usual times. At the vaccination point, they must present the health card and DNI, and the corresponding vaccine will be administered according to their age group, in accordance with the provisions of the Vaccination Strategy against COVID-19: Aztrazeneca to people between 60 and 69 years, and Pfizer, Moderna or Janssen to those over 70 years.

Immunization of resident foreigners

This summons for the weekend does not include the foreign population residing in the Canary Islands over 60 years of age, who do not have a health card. People in this situation should go to the nearest health center, with an identification document (passport) and residence certificate, to process their registration as a displaced population without an Individual Health Card (TSI). Once this procedure has been carried out, they will be summoned for vaccination.
