Asunción, IP Agency.- Officials of the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) held an informative meeting with parents and authorities of the Dominican Republic School of Fernando de la Mora, with the purpose of holding a vaccination day at the institution.
The purpose is to immunize boys and girls who have not yet received their respective vaccines. For this March 15, the vaccination day will be carried out, which will include vaccines from the regular scheme and against covid-19.
The informative meetings and vaccination days are part of the “Strengthening the response against COVID-19” program, which has the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is executed by the CIRD Foundation.
In addition to the covid-19 vaccines, vaccination of the regular scheme will be promoted to increase coverage rates.
These spaces for dialogue have the support of the Pedagogical Supervision of the Fernando de la Mora district, as well as the directors of the schools that will be visited one by one.
The Ministry of Health recalls that it is a right of minors to receive immunization against vaccine-preventable diseases, with a regular scheme established in the National Vaccine Law, No. 4,621/21.
