Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 22 cases of coronaviruses have been discharged from the isolation hospital, including a Malaysian woman and 21 Egyptians, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 179 cases until Today.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the ministry, said that the number of cases whose laboratory results were converted from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19) increased to 221 cases, including the 179 recovering.
He added that 69 new cases that had positive laboratory analyzes of the virus had been registered, all of them Egyptians, including those returning from abroad in addition to those who had contacts with positive cases that had been discovered and announced previously, as part of the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 6 cases, including Jordanian nationality, and 5 Egyptians.

Mujahid said that all registered cases of HIV positive in isolation hospitals are subject to medical care, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization.
Mujahid said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Wednesday, is 779 cases, including 179 cases that have been cured and discharged from the isolation hospital, and 52 deaths.
In the same context, Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, reviewed the analysis of the epidemiological situation of the new Corona virus in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as the age group most affected was the age group from 50 to 59, representing 22% of the total infected, adding that 94% of The deceased were in the age group over 50 years, and 100% of the deceased had chronic diseases or tumors.
She pointed out that the male ratio reached 61% of the total injured, the female percentage reached 39%, and the injury rate for children under ten years reached 2% of the total number of injuries, pointing out that the average period of hospital stay from the time of admission until full recovery was 8 Days, confirming the continued stability of the epidemiological situation in Egypt compared to the global epidemiological situation.
She also appealed to the minister coming from outside Egypt and all those involved in positive cases and their families, to follow the measures taken by the state and the Ministry of Health and Population instructions for isolation for a period of 14 days, which contributes to reducing the number of daily injuries and deaths.
Mujahid reiterated not to monitor any cases infected or suspected of being infected with the new Corona virus in all governorates of the Republic except what has been announced, indicating that once any infections appear, they will be announced immediately, in full transparency according to the international health regulations, and in coordination with the World Health Organization.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations in all governorates, follow the situation first-hand regarding the “emerging corona” virus, and take all necessary precautions against any viruses or infectious diseases, as the hotline “105” and “15335” has been allocated to receive citizens’ inquiries about a virus Corona emerging and infectious diseases.
