Adams has been cared for by his dedicated wife Bernadette in their home in the southern French city of Nimes since March 1982.
He fell into a coma through doctors who incorrectly applied anesthesia to him before surgery on his injured knee.
The famous Parisian club PSG, whose jersey is currently wearing the offensive three-team dream of Neymar, Mbappé, Messi, and Adams paid homage to him and called him a “famous elder” on social networks.
“His joy of life, charisma and experience inspire respect. We express our condolences to his family and loved ones,” the Parisian press release said.
Adams was a native of Senegal, but left his African country as a young boy. to pursue his passion in football in Europe.
During his career, he played 98 matches in Nimes, added another 150 in Nice and as a middle defender scored a total of 27 goals. He has been with the PSG team for two seasons since 1977.
He managed to play 22 matches in the national team jersey from 1972 to 1976 until his fatal injury.
In the “Les Bleus” team, he formed a hitchhiking pair with the more famous Marius Trésor. He last represented in 1976 against Denmark.
