A pedestrian was arrested on Monday afternoon while wandering on the E411 motorway, we learned on Tuesday from the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office. The judicial authorities are now trying to determine his identity and are preparing to issue a wanted notice.
The normal-bodied man, aged 25 to 30, is around 1.70 m tall. He was walking on the E411 emergency stop lane, in the direction of Luxembourg, near exit 8 (Walhain) when he was stopped, on Monday around 2:50 p.m., by patrol officers of the federal police of the route (WPR). Obviously suffering from mental problems, the individual did not speak and did not carry any identity document with him.
Since his fingerprints were not known, the investigators could not identify him. Initially, the man was hospitalized as part of an observation. According to the first elements of the investigation, he is suffering from a form of amnesia. The missing persons cell of the Federal Judicial Police and the Immigration Office have been notified.
