He calls the police “penguins” on Facebook and ends up at the police station!

At the end of November, an individual residing in the Loire in France was arrested by the ORD forces after having described on a Facebook group the presence of two police officers busy carrying out a road check at a roundabout. What did not like the gendarmerie, it is the way in which the publication was written on the group “Info road control 42”. Indeed, to indicate the holding of this control, the individual published the information in his own way as reported by the daily Le Progrès: “two penguins on the roundabout”.

A publication that was seen by the gendarmes in charge of this control and they were therefore interested more closely in the profile of the person concerned. The least we can write is that the police were not at the end of their surprises by reading the comments under this famous publication since the individual boasted of a practice for the less illegal. Just before the roadside check, the latter indeed stopped on the side of the road in order to complete his exit certificate before admiring “the Christmas decoration on the roundabout” according to his words in the comments .

Older posts of the same Facebook profile have been found and it appears that animal names are common in the language of the individual when it comes to announcing the presence of police in certain locations. Like this time when he indicated the presence of “the poultry in the shade of the roundabout”.

At the police station, the man immediately admitted the facts and even indicated that he did not consider his remarks offensive. It is ultimately justice that will decide the fate of this man who is invited to appear at the Roanne court on March 21, 2021.

Asked by the daily Le Progrès, a lawyer specializing in the defense of motorists indicates that the accused faces “up to one year in prison and a fine of € 15,000”.
