A 44-year-old neighbor from Vigo, JJLG, appeared before the Local Police Headquarters and asked the agents to arrest him because, according to what he said, he was “fed up with being at home with his mother”, due to the confinement decreed in the context of the coronavirus alarm state.

As confirmed by police sources, this man appeared before the police station at 18:30 hours on Tuesday, and asked to be arrested while assuring that was a carrier of the Covid-19.

The police requested an ambulance and, after exploring the man, the medical personnel explained that had no symptoms compatible with the infection due to coronavirus and recommended that he return to his home. However, two hours later, the man returned to police stations and again asked to be arrested. On that occasion he argued that he was “outraged” at having to remain in house confinement and that he was “sick of being home with his mother”.

Complaints for breaching the decree of alarm status

On the other hand, the Police have processed in recent hours several complaints against citizens who failed to comply with the obligation to stay at home or move only in justified cases, in compliance with the Royal Decree on the state of alarm.

This Tuesday, a complaint was processed against a citizen of Vigo who, at around 10:20 am, was identified on Urzáiz street when he was preparing to offer a street show. The 47-year-old D.F.C: man had placed a stool, microphone, speaker, guitar, and blanket to sell CDs.

Minutes later, and in the same area, two other men, 56 and 45 years old, were identified for sanction, who were exercising the peddling.

On Tuesday afternoon, a complaint was also processed against a 74-year-old from Vigo, J.R.C., who was caught on Felipe Prósperi street, when negotiated services with a prostitute on public roads.

All these complaints are added to another one also made on Tuesday by the Local Police, which identified the owner and four customers of a bar on Avenida de Hispanidad, which they were “drinking wines” on the premises, in violation of the Royal Decree of the state of alarm.

Eating in a local due to a breakdown

On the other hand, the Local Police also went this Tuesday afternoon to a hotel establishment in which, according to some residents reported, there was activity and people inside, in the Casablanca area. When the police arrived, they found that there were indeed five people eating at the time. The owner of the business explained to the agents that they all live in the same house, and that they had had to eat at the establishment due to a breakdown in the kitchen of their home.
