Hasto’s satire about Anies’ achievements is answered here and there

Jakarta

PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto throwing satire at the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan about seven achievements during the leadership of the Capital City. Hasto’s satire to Anies led to responses and views from a number of Indonesian politicians.

Hasto’s satire was made while giving a briefing to a number of party wing cadres, the DPP Taruna Merah Putih, which consists of young people. Hasto mentioned that during the leadership of Anies Baswedan, he said there were many setbacks compared to the era of Joko Widodo and Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) as governor.

“We really saw a difference in the way when Jakarta was led by Mr. Jokowi and Ahok. So much to help the fundamentals of children under five making playgrounds, smart parks, and then our environment was made clean, there were orange troops, there were green troops “There are blue troops, all have their respective duties to help Jakarta and then it’s so easy for the people of Jakarta to convey their aspirations to their leaders,” said Hasto at the Jakarta PDI-P Secretariat office, Tebet, South Jakarta, Friday (22/7/2022).

“But then when there was a change in leadership, there were many positive changes that were not carried out by the brothers and sisters, so that these steps were stopped and even experienced a setback in some aspects,” he added.

On that occasion, Hasto explained the focus of PDIP ahead of the election, such as carrying out the regeneration of young people and women to education in party schools. Hasto also spoke about PDIP which offered the conception of becoming a great nation by not getting too involved in the 2024 contestation too early.

Hasto brought up the achievements of the PDIP which had three presidents in the figure of Sukarno, Megawati, and Jokowi. This history is called Hasto can be repeated if the cadres, including the DPP Taruna Merah Putih, go down to serve the community. Hasto also asked the Red and White Taruna to encourage political discourse to educate the nation on social media. Hasto then touched on those who are working with the issue of primordialism.

“Red and white cadets with young people using social media, let’s encourage political discourse that educates the nation. Let’s push political character down, let’s push for a conducive atmosphere so that everyone who is called to be the leader of the nation shows their performance,” said Hasto.

“Those who move with identity politics, those who move with primordialism actually have no place in this republic because we are a Pancasila state,” he said.

Hasto then talked about the performance he had mentioned earlier. He then mentioned the achievements of Governor Anies Baswedan.

“That’s what we have to do. So if someone talks to person A, person B, ask aja Mr. Anies’ achievements, mention what his 7 achievements are, for example, you are definitely confused,” said Hasto

What does Hasto mean? After giving directions to the Red and White cadets, Hasto was further asked about the 7 achievements of Anies that he mentioned. He reasoned that the number 7 means a goal of the nation and state.

“We are used to being asked by journalists, now I ask reporters, try to mention the 7 achievements of Anies. So we are also the same, we do not only criticize, but we also mention, yes, the seven achievements of the PDI struggle cadres,” said Hasto.

“Why the number 7? Because seven is a goal, a goal for the nation and state. So it’s not a criticism, it’s true that every leader especially those who will proceed to 2024, the people must be able to assess their achievements. Everything and that is also built as a tradition PDI struggles,” he added.
