Harry Kane is experiencing the worst start of a new league season of his career. In the opening 12th rounds of the English Premier League, he scored only one goal for Tottenham. In the national team jersey, however, the 28-year-old striker has recently been able to do almost everything he can.
Harry Kane is rightly considered one of the best spikers today. Soon, however, we will probably talk about him as the historically best scorer of the English national team.
Many great gunmen have been born in the cradle of football in the past. At the moment, they are all ruled by Wayne Rooney, who sits on an imaginary throne with 53 accurate hits on his account. In second place is the legendary Bobby Charlton with 49 goals, but they have one less hit, Gary Lineker and the current captain of the English national team – Harry Kane.
Football analysts and fans agree that the question is not whether 28-year-old Kane will overtake Rooney one day, but rather when he will succeed. If he continues at a similar pace as before (average 0.72 goals per match, editor’s note), he could manage to collect the five exact hits he lacks for the Manchester United legend before next year’s World Championships in Qatar.
“He is definitely on the right track to break this goal record. Let’s hope he stays healthy. If he continues to wear the jersey of the national team, I think that the record must simply fall once, ” he said back in September this year, England’s national coach Gareth Southgate.

SEVEN GOALS IN TWO MATCHES
More than a week ago, the English played the last two matches of a successful qualification at the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, in which they declassified Albania (5: 0) and San Marino (10: 0). In both cases, Tottenham’s striker was withdrawn from the pitch prematurely, in the 63rd minute.
Nevertheless, he managed to score a total of seven goals in two November duels and added one assist, thanks to which he once again came significantly closer to the “Albion” shooting recorder Wayne Rooney.
By the way, Harry Kane recorded a total of 16 goals in English this calendar year, setting a bearded, over 110-year-old record. The current maximum was 12 accurate hits.
“If we left him on the lawn for the rest of the hour, we’d definitely have a phone call from the Rooney family,” joked during an interview with ITV after a duel with San Marino Gareth Southgate.
After a while, however, he continued in a more serious spirit: “He is a phenomenal gunner. During this qualification, he did not get on the field in several matches against weaker opponents, but today we wanted to give him a chance and he took her very well. “
