Bengaluru: India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya may not play in the upcoming Twenty20 cricket series against Australia. Pandya led the Twenty20 team after the 2022 World Cup.
Hardik Pandya injured his ankle while bowling against Bangladesh in the ODI World Cup. Soon the star was admitted to the National Cricket Academy. The team management was hoping to play from the semi-finals of the World Cup. It is now believed that Pandya will return to the team with the tour of South Africa. In Pandya’s absence, Rituraj Gaekwad or Suryakumar Yadav will be given the captaincy by Team India. The fireworks in Twenty20 are in favor of Suryakumar Yadav. The team led by Rituraj Gaekwad won gold in the Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.
The Twenty20 series between India and Australia will begin on the 23rd. The first match will be in Visakhapatnam. The second Twenty20 will be played at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on 26th. Other matches will be held in Guwahati, Nagpur and Hyderabad.
