Dozens of drug addicts are out and about in the area between Nidda, Taunus, Moselle and Elbestrasse every day. Many of them are homeless, and they are all united in their seemingly endless daily struggle for money to finance their addictions.
The TV team has also been accompanying Pille (25) for a long time, who has been consuming drugs since he was 14 and is now addicted to crack and heroin. His health deteriorates, he suffers from shortness of breath and constant coughing.
He cannot reduce his consumption. Sometimes he needs up to 30 minutes to inject himself about every two hours because his veins are completely broken.

Alicia (40) is also trapped in the drug hotspot. At the age of eight she came to Germany with her mother from Macedonia, and a little later earned money for drugs through prostitution as a child. She now injects herself the toxic mix of heroin and crack up to eight times a day.
The mother of three is pregnant at the start of the new filming. Your addiction is a dangerous risk to your unborn child. With each of her three children, she was clean during pregnancy. Except now. And that has fatal consequences.
One night, Alicia has severe cramps. “I knew I was going to lose my child. I had the feeling I had to break. I broke ten times, then the child was there. I cleaned it up, wrapped it in a towel. I went to the doctor, he scraped me off and was then given I’ll be released right away. ” She describes herself as a “murderer”.

The 20-year-old is autistic, felt excluded because of his illness, which affects communication and behavior, among other things, and gained a sense of belonging through drug use. He started smoking weed when he was twelve.
Today he is heavily dependent on fentanyl – an artificially produced opioid that is actually prescribed or used as an anesthetic for severely cancer patients or accident victims with severe pain. He buys the wafer-thin plasters from those patients.
At the beginning of the month, the 20-year-old spends his entire 400 euros in child benefit directly on ten fentanyl patches. This supply is used up within a few hours. The camera is also there when a typical sleepy twilight state sets in, the pronunciation becomes increasingly difficult, Lara keeps tipping over backwards.
“In the beginning we were ashamed and hid ourselves,” says the couple about the consumption, “meanwhile we don’t care. We are stamped by society anyway.”
