Hanwha Eagles confirmed the claim for the 2021 season. Outfielder Noh Soo-gwang (31) leads the team.
On the 20th, Hanwha said, “The new captain of the 2021 season was decided by No Soo-Kwang. Coach Carlos Subero asked the club for a recommendation, and after collecting the opinions of the players, Noh Soo-kwang was chosen as the new leader.”
Noh Soo-kwang, who joined Hanwha in 2014 and started a professional life, wore a Hanwha uniform again through a one-on-one trade with pitcher Lee Tae-yang last year through the KIA Tigers and SK Wyverns. Strict self-management and always faithful to training received high praise.
The experience of living with a foreign manager in SK was also a plus. At that time, Noh Soo-kwang played a central role in the outfield in the Trey Hillman system, but in 2018, he hit a “career high” with a batting average of 0.313, 53 RBIs and 93 points in 135 games.
