Hakan Calhanoglu soar together Inter Milan. This happened because Inter believed him to play an important role in the midfield. Things that can’t be found in AC Milan.
Inter managed to displace Milan from the top of the Italian League standings. This happened after The Snake beat Cagliari 4-0 at the Guiseppe Meazzza, Monday (12/13/2021) early morning WIB.
Inter’s four goals in this match came from brace Lautaro Martinez, Alexis Sanchez and Hakan Calhanoglu. The Nerazzurri occupy Capolista on 40 points one point clear of second-placed Milan.
In the match against Cagliari, Calhanoglu again appeared slick in the Inter midfield. Besides making one goal, he made one assist for Lautaro Martinez’s opener. The 27-year-old midfielder recorded a percentage of successful passes of 90 percent, made three key passes, and had three shots over the course of 90 minutes.
Calhanoglu has been able to become the main pillar of Inter since being brought in for free earlier this season after his contract at Milan expired. This Turkish passport player has made six goals and six assists in Serie A.
Whereas previously, Calhanoglu was in doubt because of his inconsistent performance at Milan. The Rossoneri are of course also willing to let Calhanoglu go rather than accept his salary request because of this factor.
Calhanoglu revealed that his slick appearance could not be separated from Inter who believed so much in playing an important role in the team. He became a pivot in La Beneamata’s midfield in the 3-5-2 formation that became the mainstay of the Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.
Something that Calhanoglu didn’t get at Milan. He is often played on the wing when defending Il Diavolo. Calhanoglu’s performances were not optimal, especially in his last season at Milan with only four goals and 10 assists at the club A league last season.
