Hagen with the first 2 countable points! | News

Even the start went for the yellow-greens as one would normally have dreamed. And with the expected starting line-up, however slightly different compared to the last few weeks: Valentin Schmidt and Pouya Norouzi had swapped roles in attack, the Iranian international kept the role of attacking midfielder. A good decision, because Norouzi made use of the deep spaces of the initially offensive defense of the HSG from the start, which often did not defend collectively but at best individually.

Keyword defense: here too the guests, who all played in black, were immediately on the ball. Fast legs, the right distance from the opponent and a perfectly awake Maurice Paske behind: all this was immediately reflected in very pleasant numbers. For six minutes Hagen was “zero”, at 1: 6 HSG coach Jörg Lützelberger tried the first time-out and made a big change. On the other hand, Eintracht kept up the pressure, after the double goal by Theo Bürgin and the goal by Pierre Busch, they even rushed to 11:2 (17th). Only Constance goalkeeper Leon Grabenstein – a swordsman by the way – prevented Eintracht from drifting any further.

From Hagen’s perspective, it’s entirely understandable that things couldn’t continue this way. With a 3-0 run, the hosts at least put their foot on the ground, Stefan Neff took the first team timeout. Eintracht’s eight goalless minutes ended again through Pierre Busch (6:12/24.). At half-time, Eintracht led 14:8 in a game in which the number of technical errors had significantly increased.

The story of the second half is soon told. Eintracht confidently managed their lead, which usually fluctuated between six and eight goals. The basis remained the careful defense, including both goalkeepers. After 48 minutes, Constance reduced the goal to five goals for the first time, in Eintracht’s empty net, as the yellow-green team now had seven players on the field. Pierre Busch and Valentin Busch dashed any hope in the room with their goals at 19:26.

And then it ended up in the Schänzle sports hall. Cheering at Eintracht, the goat was overwhelmed. Only on the 4th day, but from now on the results improve too…
