The habeas corpus process of the young woman who had asked for it does not continue, not because of a lack of foundation, but because the health authorities anticipated and tested the young woman yesterday, which was negative. Thus, the young woman was already released today and came to court. The process is thus resolved
An opportunity that Maria João Nepomuceno, a lawyer in the case (pictured), told reporters that the young woman never wanted to be confined.
What happened is that, on arrival in Madeira, the applicant asked to go to isolation at home, also proposed to pay the test to the covid or even return to Lisbon.
None of these suggestions will have been accepted.
Maria João Nepomuceno admits the Government’s exceptional work against the pandemic and says that the young woman also never questioned this situation.
However, already out of the State of Emergency, and having proposed several different solutions, she decided to go to Court because she considered that she should not stay at the hotel for 14 days, after a quarantine already done in Lisbon.
The lawyer added that the young woman was informed by the hotel reception that the test would be done on the 13th day.
But everything was anticipated and today received the result of the test performed yesterday. It should be noted that the President of IASAUDE was at the Court before the judge heard the young woman
