Borussia Dortmund’s newcomer Erling Haaland is silent on reports about an exit clause in his contract from 2022.
In an interview with the “Bild” newspaper (Friday), the 19-year-old Norwegian did not want to comment on the details of his contract. On Thursday, he had completed a unit with the team for the first time in a training camp in Spain.
“I just signed with BVB and I carefully considered this step. I have already stressed that I want to achieve a lot with Borussia. So my focus is only here and nowhere else, ”said Haaland, who came from Red Bull Salzburg. For BVB, everything is still possible in the German Bundesliga. I hope for a close second half, ”said the striker, who has a contract until 2024.
His move to Dortmund was only made possible by an exit clause. Haaland, courted by various clubs, would have had a contract with Salzburg until 2023. According to reports, BVB is said to have paid the fixed transfer fee of 20 million euros.
