Haaland is already doing better than Messi, Ronaldo and Mbappé

Erling Haaland managed to reach 100 career goals at the age of 20 years and seven months. Faster than Mbappé, Messi or Cr7.

Erling Haaland became the youngest player to score in 6 consecutive Champions League meetings (20 years and 231 days). But this is not the only stat which shows the precocity of the Norwegian striker.

It took the Norwegian striker just 73 seconds to open the scoring against Bayern Munich in the recent clash between BvB and the Munich club, and he needed just eight minutes and 41 seconds to double the lead of the his before Bayern overturns the game.

Haaland has scored 20 times in 50 games for Molde, has 29 goals in 27 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg and now peaks at 45 in 46 outings for Dortmund, while he has also scored six goals for Norway.

This season he has played 29 games and is the Champions League top scorer with eight goals, followed by Olivier Giroud, Marc Rashford and Alvaro Morata, who have collected six pawns each.

Meanwhile, only Robert Lewandowski has scored more Bundesliga goals (31) than Haaland, who has hit the back of the net 19 times in Germany.

According to Brazilian journalist Rodolfo Rodrigues, only two players, Pele and Ronaldo Nazario, have needed fewer matches than Haaland to reach 100 career goals.

Pele reached it in 86 games at the age of 18 and a month and Ronaldo managed to do so after 108 games, aged 19 and two months.

Kylian Mbappé needed 175 games (20 years and eight months), while Romario also needed 175 games (23 years and one month) and Neymar did so after 184 games (20 years).

It took Lionel Messi 210 games to reach that tally (22 years and three months), while Lewandowski had to play 216 games (23 years and three months) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic needed 270 outings to score 100 goals (25 years and two months).

Oddly enough, Cr7 waited 301 matches to reach the 100 goals was Cristiano Ronaldo (22 years and 11 months), who currently stands out as the top scorer in football history with 768 goals.

Note also that Halaland has scored as many goals (19) in 14 Champions League appearances as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 77 matches.
