Forward of the Latvian national football team Vladislavs Gutkovskis on Saturday did not save Czestochowa’s Rakow team from the loss in the first game of the Polish extra class season.

“Rakow” in Belhatovo with 1: 2 (0: 1) gave way to the Polish champion “Legia” in Warsaw.

Gutkovskis, who has not played in the extra class since May 2018, started the match in the basic line-up and played an active game, standing out with dangerous actions against his opponents in several episodes. In the 22nd minute of the match, the Latvian striker was warned with a yellow card.

The Legia team took the lead in the 18th minute, when Tomāšs Pekharts successfully played in front of the goal. At the end of the first half, “Rakow” remained in the minority, as Macejs Vilušs was on the second yellow card.

In the second half of the second half, Patriks Kuns knocked the visitors out with an accurate shot from a sharp angle. The ball crossed the line only a few centimeters, so the help of a video referee had to be used to confirm the goal.

Gutkovskis were substituted 13 minutes into the game, but his shot went just wide. In the 84th minute, after a pass along the goal 2: 1, Pekhart won the match for Legia.

Gutkowski signed a contract with Rakow at the beginning of the year, but the agreement provided that the footballer would move to the Czestochowa club in July. The contract is concluded until June 30, 2022, but the club has the right to extend it for another two years.

Goalkeeper Pavel Steinbor (Jagiellonia) and midfielder Christover Tober (Gdansk Lechia) will also play in the Polish extra class this season.

Meanwhile, striker Nikita Kovalonok stood out in the 1/32 final of the Polish Cup with a goal, but Olsztyn’s “Stomil” with Vyacheslav Kudryavtsev in the goal with 2: 3 (1: 1) in the last minutes acknowledged the superiority of Yasthembezdroy’s GKS. Both teams play for Poland in the second league.

Elsewhere in Europe, three Latvian footballers remained in reserve, with the teams they represented playing with varying degrees of success. Kuopio “Palloseura” (“KuPS”), represented by defender Igor Tarasov, defeated “Mariehamn” 2: 1 (1: 0) in the tenth round of the Finnish championship at home, in the introduction of the Ukrainian Premier League of Luhansk “Zorja” represented by midfielder Andrei Ciganyik 1: 0) acknowledged the superiority of Chernihiv’s “Desna”, but the defender “David Titov” Patricks lost to the Bohemians 0: 2 (0: 2) in the ninth game of the Irish League.

On the other side of the world, defender Vitaly Maksimenko was left out of the application in the Japanese Second League match, in which he represented Omi’s “Ardia” with 1: 2 (1: 1) conceded “Ehime”.
