Guru An elementary school in Bogor City, West Java, with the initials BBS (30) faces a sentence of 15 years in prison. BBS is suspected of harassing 14 students.
“Regarding the perpetrator, we apply Article 76E of the Child Protection Law, where the threat of a minimum sentence of 5 years and a maximum of 15 years, and a fine of IDR 5 billion,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Bogor City Police, Commissioner Rizka Fadhila in his statement, Tuesday (12/9/ 2023).
Rizka said that the police applied aggravating provisions to the victim guru. Because, there is a relationship between the suspect and the victim.
“Because of the relationship between the victim and the perpetrator, namely the homeroom teacher and the student, we also apply the aggravation article to the perpetrator’s actions, where this action carries an additional third of the criminal threat,” he explained.
Rizka previously explained that her party had arrested him guru SD with the initials BBS because it was suspected of harassing dozens of its own students. Now investigators are still examining the suspect.
“We have carried out an examination of the teacher, we have arrested the alleged perpetrator,” said Rizka when contacted.
Examinations were also carried out on female students suspected of being victims. Until now, investigations are still ongoing.
“In-depth investigations are still being carried out on victims because to tell the story there must be an in-depth understanding of the psychological effects,” he said.
So far, only one victim has reported it. However, there were four victims who were questioned.
“There is one person reporting, but currently only four victims have been identified and want to provide information,” he said.
