Gujarat will not repeat itself, Congress will have to reorganize the strategy for the next elections | News Malayalam, News India | Manoram online

New Delhi ∙ Ignoring the assembly elections and targeting only the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the move is estimated to be a setback for the Congress. Even though the BJP and the Congress will face each other in the assembly elections in the states of Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh next year, if the Aam Aadmi Party enters the field like in Gujarat, it will influence the Congress more. The party high command will instruct state elements to prepare moves to counter it.

The silent campaign experiment in Gujarat will not be repeated. It is estimated that BJP and Aam Aadmi Party can only be tackled stateside if all preparations are mobilized and fought under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. The party fears that if Rahul, who leads the Bharat Jodo Yatra, does not pay due attention to the assembly elections, Gujarat will repeat itself with the aim of preparing the Congress for the Lok Sabha elections.

At the same time, the Congress concluded that the BJP will only be able to convert Narendra Modi’s image into votes in Gujarat and UP. Pointing to the findings in Himachal, Congress says the argument that there is a Modi effect across the country is wrong. Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are not states Modi can influence with his image like Gujarat. Congress considers it a boon to have better grassroots organization in all of these states.

It is indicated that the Aam Aadmi Party may also enter Karnataka, where the Congress sees a better chance of coming to power. If the split of anti-BJP votes in Gujarat is repeated in Karnataka, it will be a setback for the Congress.

Congress won in Himachal due to infighting in BJP. Congress is facing heavy infighting in the 3 states where the election will be held. The tug of war between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar in Karnataka, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot in Rajasthan and Chief Minister Bhupesh Bagel and Minister TS Singhdev in Chhattisgarh is a challenge for the party.

The high command requested the state leadership to submit a report on the situation in each of Gujarat’s lost constituencies. Secretary General KC Venugopal said that the presence of Aam Aadmi party helped the BJP.

English summary: Congress to rearrange the upcoming elections
