Sealed Fate (R), in case it doesn’t hit any targets, teleports you to the farthest point of the spell. Otherwise, it teleports you right behind the enemy furthest from your starting point. So this makes it an effective spell for catching a target, but if an enemy hits you in melee, you won’t be able to use this ability to run away. because he could interfere and you will find yourself behind him, literally a centimeter away. So be careful with its use if you want to escape.
Currently (patch 10.16), theYone’s Unbound Soul (E) spell has the ability, if cast at the right time, to remove all control and (potentially fatal) damage that comes with it.. How to play against Yone?
A recurring question when a new champion comes out is: How to counter him? In the case of Yone, the few tips given above already offer some answers on how to fight it.
First of all, Yone is a character who, if he is to use his full potential, must have access to certain items. As a result, he is a relatively easy champion to manage at the start of the game, especially when we see that he ultimately has little means of defending himself. Indeed, if we compare him to Yasuo, he will have roughly the same damage without equipment but will in fact be less solid: Yasuo’s shield being more solid and above all, faster to recover. Yone therefore lacks effective defense early in the game. So take advantage of his initial inability to fight back to harass him continuously early enough to give you an advantage.
Ensuite, all of Yone’s gameplay is centered on his ability to be able to take cover once his burst is performed by running away with his Unbound Soul (E). As said above, it doesn’t have a defensive skill to speak of in the lane phase (Mind Cut (W) is useful but doesn’t give a lot of shielding either when it hits only one. champion). Everything therefore depends on how you will manage your opponent’s assault when activating this skill.
Two options are available to you. Make sure that Yone does not touch you or at least for the duration of his Unbound Soul (E) or, if you think you can resist this damage quite effectively, get closer to his physical body to attack him when he returns to his initial position and will probably already have used some of his spells. The goal is not necessarily to kill him here (even if we are not going to lie to each other, we do not say no to a kill), but to force him to cancel his assault in his spectral form, thus removing a good part of his damage. Obviously, the choice on which strategy to adopt here will depend on the champion you play, the Yone score compared to yours and the context of the action.
Like all assassins, Yone is very sensitive to crowd control. The ability to stun, immobilize, blind, or prevent spellcasting is a deciding factor against this champion and selecting one or more characters who have one of his abilities can go a long way in killing him. Likewise, having crowd control avoidance spells such as Olaf’s Ultimate or Morgana’s Shield will allow you to respond more quickly to Yone’s assaults. In addition, if Yone is particularly effective at eliminating fragile targets, it is very quickly overtaken by any opponent who will resist its burst. It is therefore interesting in team combat to always have a strong champion with control (support or toplaner) next to your most vulnerable allies.
Items to take against Yone
As regards the objects to be taken against him, make sure the mages have a Zohnya hourglass available in order to force him, if he uses it against you, to re-roll his Unbound Soul (E) because he will have to retreat immediately if he cannot hope to kill a target very quickly during team fights.
