Guasave, Sinaloa.- Dr. Mónica Sánchez Verduzco, from the blood bank from Guasave, calls on society to come and be donors, since it is going through an alarming situation due to the hemorrhagic dengue.
He pointed out that the region is in a state of emergency due to this disease and the cases are getting complicated.
He expressed that there have been very alarming cases due to the severity that patients present due to dengue, which is exasperating, since cases have been treated that due to said disease the patient falls into a coma.
“Guasave is one of the municipalities most affected by the mosquito bite, since in other municipalities it is not known how much the disease is affecting,” he highlighted.

He also commented that dengue hemorrhagic fever is hitting young people a lot, since they are the ones who are getting serious after contracting the disease.
He stressed that the situation with dengue hemorrhagic fever is quite serious. “We have seen very dramatic cases. The situation is worrying, ”he said.
He added that they are in a state of emergency because of this condition because very ugly cases are getting complicated, very dramatic cases, patients between life and death.
Sánchez Verduzco commented that few people go to donate blood, since there is no culture of donation and there is a lack of empathy on the part of society.
He said that there are people who refrain from donating for fear that that blood will be needed by a family member, when in 14 days the platelets are ready to donate again.
He stressed that the population is misinformed about it and that is why they do not dare to be donors. “There are things that make the difference between life and death and donating blood helps save lives,” said the doctor.
It is worth mentioning that in Mexico there is little culture to carry out blood donation. The doctor said that there are few people who carry out this act and it is a sadness because there are those who need the help of others.
Sánchez Verduzco commented that donating platelets has many advantages, since it stimulates the immune system, rejuvenates the body, balances iron levels and blood flows better.
“There are a lot of benefits to donating platelets, but people are misinformed and don’t know it,” he said.
The doctor stressed that in addition to saving a life, the human body has an awakening, since everything is stimulated and the immune level is activated. “Everything goes well and that is why there are advantages for the donor,” he highlighted.

He explained that it has already been shown that there are advantages to being a blood donor, since it has even been discovered that it can serve to prevent heart attacks and cancer due to the stimulation of the immune system.
