A armed attack against a highway stop in the Mexican state of Guanajuato (downtown), where travelers eat or rest, he left at least nine dead Friday night, state and federal authorities reported Saturday.
According to a report by the Federal Security Secretariat, the attack was recorded shortly after 8 pm on Friday when armed men they arrived at the San Fernando hostel, located on a road that connects to the municipality of Villagrán, Guanajuto, with the state of Querétaro.
The aggressors they entered a restaurant where they made several shots. Six people died at the scene while three others were taken to the cargo truck parking area, where they were also completed, the report said.
Two more people were injured while the aggressors managed to escape. Behind the attack, the whereabouts were cordoned off by national guards and state police.
Freight truck drivers usually rest at night, and similar attacks have occurred in the past.
In December, an attack on a police station in Villagrán, Guanajuato, left three police officers dead.

Guanajuato is one of the most important industrial centers in Mexico by concentrating large global manufacturers of cars, airplanes and other heavy manufactures.
However, due to the network of pipelines that cross the state and its oil facilities, violent criminal gangs dedicated to the traffic of stolen fuel also operate in Guanajuato.
In recent years, Guanajuato has gone from being one of the most peaceful states in the country to one of the most violent with everyday shootings attributed to account adjustments between criminal gangs.
