If there is a developer who has little or no involvement with game leaks or content details, it is Rockstar Games. Still, GTA rumors of all time and the assumption is that Grand Theft Auto VI is currently being worked on. That game has been in the news before, but until Rockstar announces something, it is the well-known grain of salt story.
We can now add a new series of rumors, as Tom Henderson – well-known insider with a history of correct leaks – has contributed to the latest addition to the popular Rockstar Games franchise. In a new video he collects all the rumors that he has heard in the past period and that reveals quite interesting details.
According to Henderson, the latest Grand Theft Auto is set in a modern version of Vice City, in which we can get to work with multiple characters. One of these is a woman and that ties in with previous rumors, including when it comes to the setting. Vice City has been mentioned for years as the location for the new part. World-wise, Rockstar would intend to provide an environment that will evolve over time.
In that context, Henderson compares the map of GTA VI with that of Fortnite, considering that it has also changed over the years. Grand Theft Auto VI is said to be a medium sized game at launch, and over time it will get bigger and bigger with updates. Something we see in GTA Online, for example, which has been expanded considerably over the years with new content and possibilities, as well as new locations.
It will be a while yet to wait for this new game, because according to Henderson there is a chance that the game will not be released until late 2025. Rockstar Games would also like to take the time in that regard to avoid crunch. Something that the developer has come to be criticized in the finalization of Red Dead Redemption 2. In addition, this game will appear on the current generation and Rockstar is waiting for the growth of the market in that sense.
