Growing Tensions in Poland as Ukrainian Refugees Compete for Local Women

Refugees from Ukraine in Poland began to beat off men from local women, making them “competition”. This was announced by political scientist, historian Vladimir Kornilov, writes Pravda.Ru.

“Polish women appear to be the most skeptical about the presence of Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Because there are mostly refugees. As their newspaper writes: “Polish women have felt the competition in the labor market and the marriage market.” It turns out that they also have a marriage market there, ”said the observer.

Because of this, dissatisfaction with the neighbors is growing among the Poles, and the desire to expel them back to Nezalezhnaya, Kornilov emphasized.

According to him, young Ukrainian women beat off the Polish men from local women, and those, accordingly, have a growing desire to quickly expel all the newcomers, not waiting for the end of the conflict, but now.

There are now about 1.2 million refugees from Ukraine in Poland. Most of them are women confirms Gazeta Wyborcza. Not all Ukrainian women have husbands left in their homeland. Many of them have not been in a relationship before, some of them are just entering adulthood. In this situation, young Polish women have become more aware of the danger, as evidenced by recent research carried out in late May and early June by a research laboratory, which includes specialists from the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw, as well as the Academy of Economics and Humanities.

The project “Perception in society of refugees from Ukraine, migrants, as well as actions taken by the Polish state” was attended by 600 people aged 16-65 years. And it was in the group of women under the age of 29 with a secondary education that the greatest hostility towards refugees, more precisely, towards refugees from Ukraine, was noticed.
