Greg Van Avermaet will be at the start of the Tour de Wallonie

Calendar After Philippe Gilbert, John Degenkolb, Caleb Ewan and most likely Sam Bennett (the sprinter from Deceuninck-Quick Step), another prestigious name has chosen to integrate the next Tour of Wallonia into its program.

Greg Van Avermaet will indeed be departing from Soignies on Sunday August 16. In the wake of a collective internship in the Livigno region, in mid-July, the Olympic champion will head for Tuscany where he will resume competition during the Strade Bianche (August 1) before continuing with Milan-Sanremo (Saturday August 8). The rider from CCC will then refine his condition for the Tour de France during the four stages of the Walloon event (final arrival on Wednesday 19 August, in Erezée). The arrivals from Visé (3rd stage) and Erezée (4th stage) could also correspond to the qualities of Golden Greg.
