“Green Power Certificate Fraud: Recovering Millions in Wrongly Paid Aid and Uncovered Scams with Solar Panels”

A total of 9.1 million euros in minimum aid that was wrongly paid out could be recovered. EUR 14 million was not paid out because the fraud was already established before the payment was made. Most fraud happened with solar panels. Only two companies committed fraud for 7.13 million euros. “So this is not the case with ordinary private individuals,” says Verdoodt. “The large amounts in fraud of green power certificates are still with the major players.”
