GreedFall will get expansion and upgrade for Xbox Series X and S and PS5 at the end of June – Gaming – News

Fantasy RPG GreedFall will receive a free upgrade on June 30 for the Xbox Series X and S, and the PlayStation 5. The game will run in 4k resolution and in a performance mode, that resolution will be combined at 60fps. There will also be a paid story expansion.

Publisher Focus Home Interactive re-releases the game as GreedFall: Gold Edition. This edition includes the upgrade for the new consoles and the story expansion titled The De Vespe Conspiracy. The expansion will also be available separately as a paid DLC. The upgrade with improvements for the Xbox Series X and S and the PlayStation 5 is available for free to anyone who already owns the game.

According to the publisher, the game will run in . after the upgrade native 4k, loading times are shorter, and performance and graphics are improved. The game also gets a performance mode, in which the game runs in 4k at 60fps. The publisher is showing some screenshots of the new Gold Edition, but hasn’t shown any moving images of the upgrade yet.

The story expansion takes place in a “new environment” from Teer Fradee. In it, players can create new enemies and gear expect, and a story that continues on that of the original game. The fantasy RPG from French developer Spider Studio was released at the end of 2019. Tweakers published a review of GreedFall.
