“Great job, Ukrainian voters”: US senator called Ukraine’s victory absurd (video)

Republican J.D. Vance is confident negotiations are ahead. According to him, it is in the interests of the United States to leave part of the Ukrainian territories to Russia.

US Senator from Ohio and Republican politician J.D. Vance said that no one really believed that Ukraine would win the war with Russia. This is known from his comments aired on CNN on December 10.

“Anybody with a brain knows that this will always end in negotiations. The idea that Ukraine could push Russia back to the 1991 border is absurd. Nobody actually believed it,” the senator said.

He called Ukraine “functionally destroyed.” According to him, the average age of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers is already 43 years old, and “this is tragic.” The politician suggested that in the future the United States will pay “Ukrainian pensioners” for “restoring the entire country.”

According to Vance, it is important to “stop the killing,” that is, to achieve a ceasefire. He assured that the army of Russian President Vladimir Putin will not go further, that is, the residents of Poland and Germany have nothing to worry about.

“What is in America’s interests is to accept that Ukraine will have to cede some territory to the Russians. And we need to end this war,” concluded the member of the US Senate.
