Granada launches a ‘single taxi’ service in the first Joint Provision Area

Granada opens the first Territorial Area of Joint Provision of Andalusia, which consists of the merger of the taxi service of the capital with the municipalities of the Belt so that everyone works in the different localities without restrictions or legal obstacles that currently exist.

The first to sign this ‘unique taxi’ have been Granada capital with Pulianas and Cenes de la Vega.

As of today, the 560 taxis in Granada will be able to operate in these two municipalities and those of both towns will go through the managing body (led by the capital) in order to start operating.

Taxis from Granada capital, Pulianas and Cenes de la Vega, may operate in the area without restrictions.

The mayor of the city, Luis Salvador, and of these towns have signed this Monday the agreement by which they begin to function.

This is a historic milestone, as the Board’s Development delegate, Antonio Granados, has highlighted, because it was a unifying measure that had been pursued for years.

Thus, Granada taxis will be able to pick up in Pulianas (separated by a street and with a large shopping area) and in Cenes de la Vega and vice versa, an advance that other towns in the Belt will soon join.
