The tragedy occurred in the cottage settlement “Forest Lake”. The fire engulfed the two-story mansion where the director’s widow lived. His housekeeper managed to escape, but Galina Govorukhina did not, according to the Telegram channel.
Russian director Stanislav Govorukhin passed away on June 14, 2018 at the age of 82. The cause of his death is not known.
During his lifetime, Govorukhin praised Russian President Vladimir Putin for the annexation of Crimea and argued that a civil war was raging in eastern Ukraine.
